@Schwarzromantik Old post, but meh, never got answered.
This (like most of his lyrics) can be interpreted however you want to. You could take it literally that its really talking about an apocalyptic future vision, you could take it metaphorically as either something imposing or as a poetic license for someone unsure of themselves, or you could just say it's a bunch of rambling.
It's really up to the listener what they take away from C93 songs.

this is pretty cool, it reminds me of ac/dc

Is anyone else reminded of Public Image Ltd? It's hypnotic and almost alien.

it's rudder not radar

You're right to say I'm new to the force. This is, after all, the first song of his I've heard.
And it's a good introduction. As I've said, the convincingly feigned mounting insanity works.
I might even see what else he's put out, cause this is honestly quite good!

Oh my god.
He sounds mad. Like, honest to God, incoherent gibbering, shut-up-and-get-me-the-straitj
acket MAD. I mean yeah, the "homicidal maniac" vibe works, but seriously, I cannot tell if David Tibet has mental issues or not.
(Probably not, but still, I'm never sleeping again. And this from a guy who played "Hamburger Lady" LATE at night at full blast. Dear God.)

one more thing...I can really relate to this song personally because when I was a child, I used to have horrifying night terrors night after night, all about a giant black metal cube slowly coming down on top of me from above... *shudders* go David Tibet!

I'm waking up to the genius of David Tibet here... I was such an idiot a few years ago! Great fucking song, and yeah... fuck black ships!

The vocals ARE the song. Without it, there would be very little value in this art. Tibet's prose is the reason I enjoy C93.
