Dean Hamer, a geneticist at the US National Cancer Institute in Washington DC, has groundbreaking research proven the genes that make us who we are. It might be the difference between activism for the right to a particular identity vs advocating a lifestyle. So the agenda is what really makes the difference..but most of us are 1 huge overlap also...also a lot of sliding back and forth between the two. The community is not strong enough for a split but sometimes decisions have already been made for you. We struggle with insiders. We struggle with outsiders. I'm seeing both sides. There's a time and place for the split so it seems.

I actually agree with you ladies. As a gay man , I respectfully don't see why we are put together in the same bag. What defines us are COMPLETELY different things and i think it's unfair for each group to be shown as the same when the issues are far from being the same.

you got a point there for sure. in general, it is a movement to break through the "specific roles" and do some understandment for the whole transgender thing. it's like if the kids are united, they can never be divided ;) it's just all about how you feel yourself to be right and can fulfill your own sexual role, it's a common fight together with like the "LGB&T" thing, i think it is really important to act politically as a whole but amongst each other as a single person :) so i totally agree :D

Hi Diamonds and Pearls. Your wisdom and maturity as you speak of something that is very personal to you is commendable. Straight people who want to help you behind the scenes like lawyers and mayors and senators.  I almost out of room, but I wanted to say that I am more aware the degrees of separation. I have a gay brother that as a child I battered him and loved him. I didn't understand how he felt so free to dance in a dress in the middle of our street at the age of 10yrs old
