  • Hi, Yes, the gold foil (24 K) will bond with fine silver (.999) between 350 °C and 550 °C. There is a surface molecular exchange at this temperature. The gold foil must be thick enough to not disapear in silver, you should be able to cut it with scisors.

  • My hot plate is a "no name" one. 1300 W.

  • What table is that? that you are using?

  • It's a hot plate, the same to cook on

  • Hi, so the gold will adhere naturally at 350-degrees?  Do you use common gold leaf or do you cut a disc of gold from thin sheet? Great tutorial, thank you!
