Audio of the start (Medieval Overture) and live video of the end (School Days). The only way to go for this great concert.

Everyone was in fine form - Chick, Stanley, Lenny, Frank and Jean-Luc. A nice mixture of songs, too: 1 or 2 from each RTF guitar album, plus a newie (Dream Revelation) and oldie (Aurora) from Ponty - then Spain and School Days for the encore.

Ponty and Gambale (especially) fit in well with the others. I didn't miss Al DiMeola at all - though others could disagree.

  • Someone removed the comment to Blackfeather/John Robinson - before I could add: I saw them live (Canterbury Boys High school auditorium, 1973). BTW, I'm thinking of remastering my audio of this concert - but I haven't shared any concerts yet.

  • This band rocks!! and Jazz!! hey guys check a band from NYC, Afromantra, search 11:11 Spirit... they have all this influences but are more Latin oriented, very good though!

  • @avs002

it's not the BlackFeather i formed.

    j.

  • @djrbfm Yeah, I too, ...err what??

  • I saw them last night in Cleveland OH AWESOME!!!

  • @MonsieurSteven Ponty looks a little bored to me.

  • I saw the original band with Bill Connors at Keystone Korner in swingin' Frisco. Saw the Al Di Meola band after that too. All these guys can play the shit out of their instruments, and they have the best instruments, Chicks moog is to die for. Lenny sounds especially good, but why do I find it frustrating to watch them? Maybe because you can't go home again. Dare I mention... Scientology?

  • @tuscaroradave I was there, Stanley Clarke hands were a complete blur.

  • I just saw them in Philadelphia yesterday and they put on the most incredible performance that I have ever seen. Truly amazing musicians!!

  • nice!

  • Je vais les voir ce weekend au festival Jazz in Marciac ;)
