Philippa Anne Reed is a composer and performer of original music played on the bowed psaltery.
An ancient, sacred instrument with roots in Biblical times, the psaltery ('s-all-tree') was named as one of the 'angelic instruments' and was used to accompany the singing of the Psalms.
The psaltery Philippa plays was hand-made by Surrey-based luthier, Mervyn Mewis, and is crafted from sustainable wood from the Surrey / Sussex borders.
This song is from her forthcoming album 'Joseph's Daughter'. www.myspace.com/songsfromthepsaltery.
Philippa is available to play at functions and events. Please contact at her myspace page or leave a message here.
