Most animals DO have a high level of cognition. Unfortunately, most people don't realize that animals have *differing* levels of cognition than what our human brains are trained to comprehend. They don't communicate in human languages (unless they are specifically learned by the animal), instead using body language or other means of expression.

hmmmm wow, that's kinda crazy...I liked it just don't know what to make of it...has it always spoke that way ?? So clearly?

That's unnerving.
Perhaps it is our minds trying to make sense of his chattering.
It's still a chilling vibe that the little guy may very well BE saying that he doesn't consider his mate a worthy or sentient companion.

Jane Goodall once said that humans have been very conceited to assume animals don't have minds. So therefore I think, "Victor must appear."

It's important that animals are respected and understood. Many people in our society today still do not want to believe that many animals have a high level of cognitive capacity. Sadly, these individuals are often people who will view animal intelligence as a threat to humanity's dignity. I don't think that's a good view to have. I'm glad humans have intelligent friends that they can interact with.
