Broadcast 1985 - Documentary on the Japanese Imperial Palace in Tokyo, Royal Grounds of the Last Remaining Emperor on Earth. At one point, atleast on paper, the Imperial Palace's real estate was worth more than the entire state of California. Theoretically, Japan could have bought the entire United States of America by selling only metropolitan Tokyo

  • This is very amazing video I've ever seen. Most of ppl (even 99% of Japanese ppl I can swear) have not seen what is going on in the Palace. Great movie. (and subtitle!!)

  • Thumbs up if you think this video deserves higher resolution!

  • @mrjkt123 Fuck U and shove all UK palaces up your ass, bitch!!!! Japan is the greatest country in the world!

  • After seeing this, I am sure of my position that the UK monarchy is a joke compared to the dignity of the Emperor

  • @mrjkt123 UK's royal family has been attacked by their people so many times. they lost their dignity. I hope japan won't abandon their traditon unlike UK.

  • @WireBodyArt Japan had many earth quakes in past history. because we have anti earthquake building since 1000 years ago.

  • @Beannieable

It is very sad that the old Palace was burnt down in 1945. It was a splendid example of traditional Japanese and European grandeur.

Another thing I personally find unfortunate is the policy on the new costumes. The new costumes have followed extensive simplifications bearing no resemblance to the ones officiated during the reign of Hirohito's father.

  • God bless Emperor.

  • How has Japan's Imperial Palace faired in 2001 - 03 - 11 Earthquake?
