  • I wish I could figure it out too. How did you do it oakley? Because they come stock with one cat all the exhaust shops tell me I cant

  • we have done it to 2 trucks now. this truck here a shop did it and put 2 cats in. the other truck was done our selfs. most shops said it wouldnt even run but they run fine

  • I think that the whole "back pressure being lost" thing with no muffler, or floating a valve is crap. I have a 2008 silverado with the 5.3 v-8 in it. No muffler on it, and I have dual 6inch wide stacks on it. I put a K&N cold air-intake, and the truck runs so much better now with no muffler& air intake. BTW, your truck sounds good. I like the rasp the 318 has when straight piped~

  • ya man for sure! its a 360 but thanks!

  • @GarageCrazy black electrical tape over the warning light???? lol

  • @oakley246 But how do you get around the sensor for the exhaust? because it'll throw a code.

  • im puting true duels on my 98 2500 5.9l v8 how do you run the o2 sencers so you dont get a check engine light

  • did the straight pipe benefit ur power and mileage?

  • @raybob212 You got that right. Add on a high flow air intake nad you get some nice performance out if it!

  • @CSXtrackworker yeah well any vehicle will run better with out the muffler or with a performance muffler bc stock factory exhaust are restrictive with out the muffler or with a performance muffler the engine is able to breath better

  • @raybob212 Yes sir I do. The cat's I will not touch. They have to stay on for emission's and plus with 4 o2 sensor's on them, if I take them off they will screw with the truck's computer's. I also kept them on for a little back pressure as you said. Truck run's so much better with this exhaust now.

  • @CSXtrackworker do you still have a cat on it bc the cat saves the some backpressure

  • How much did it cost

  • I have the exact same truck how did u do straight pipes? I called local exhaust shop and they said it would b a pain in the ass and not worth it???
