@venturecrew06, you're very correct. I'm OLD (I mean, OLD) and RH, Jonny et al. are reinterpreting old ground. Not that it isn't beautiful, and sometimes even startling, but people have been doing this forever. What's MORE interesting, I think, isn't RH and Greenwood's supposed "aping" of French experimentalists, nor the ground covered by Gavin Bryars, Tangerine Dream etc long ago. No, what's fascinating is how LONG RH's been playing this stuff...by my count, almost 20 yrs, from the start!

@venturecrew06 60's or 70's? It's been here since wayyyy before that my friend. Erik Satie anyone? Not to mention countless other people throughout history. The avante garde has always been the thing that drives all music, even the shityy garbage like Lady Notalent and Nickelsuck.

Your comment is fine and jonny and radiohead are progressive, but honestly, this genre of music has been alive since the 60's and they are simply re-interpreting it to a new generation. Avante guarde has been here since music began. The Germans took it to a new level in the 60's and 70's and jonny and the boys and taking into the 21st century... it is a very very beautiful thing

I think it's funny how big a crybaby someone can be when you say their musical tastes suck. People leave negative comments on videos for music I like, except I don't give enough a shit about what they think to respond, so what's your problem?
