  • Thanks for filming the route from Penistone to Oxspring. This was one of my former routes, before they resuraced the track. I used to do this route on my Raleigh Max Ogre Mountain bike a long time ago. I have a Merida Matts 24 speed mountain bike now, I do venture on the track now and again, but I have yet to do the Wortley side of it, the closest I have done is as far as Cote Lane.

  • @andywalker hi glad you enjoyed the video more to follow- mick grant

  • Nice video - just cycled the route from Hadfield to Wortley and back (over two days!) with my sister-in-law - found it hard going at times climbing all the way from Wortley to Dunford Bridge!

Since you made this video, the section south of Penistone has been covered in loose gravel stones which made it particularly difficult - definitely worth a stop in Penistone to go to the chip shop.
