- so i got more comments than i asked for xD thank you so much guys. i would have posted this earlier but i had to go out this morning so im posting it now which means if i get another 10+ comments i will post again tonight (keep in mind the time difference).
The next day started of as normal, with no trouble. I wasnt counting on it to continue and I was right not to. I was in the middle of a business meeting when I got a phone call on my mobile. I excused myself and went to answer it.
Phone Convo
P- Hello?
?- Hello Mrs Adams. This is vice principle Swan. I am going to need you to come in to school.
(Oh no who has done what now?!)
P- Ok Ill be there as soon as I can.
I hung up and told everyone to finish the meeting without me. I drove to the school wondering who it could have been and what they had done. When I got into school I saw the last person I thought it would be. Sitting outside the principles office was Demi. She looked like she had been in a fight. Oh no! Not Demi! It couldnt be possible. She couldnt hurt a fly. She looked up at me with teary eyes and then looked back at the ground. I walked past Demi but couldnt bring myself to say anything to her. I knocked on the door.
Mrs Swan- Come in.
I went in and she indicated a seat opposite her.
What happened?
Mrs Swan- Demi got into a fight with another girl in her year. We take violence at this school very seriously.
I just nodded. I couldnt speak.
Mrs Swan- Because this is the first time she will be suspended for the rest of the week followed by detention everyday for a month. Does that seam reasonable to you?
Of course. I am so sorry. You know this is not like her.
Mrs Swan- I know. Im not sure of her reasons behind it as she wont tell anyone. Maybe you could talk to her and find out. If there is any misunderstanding then please let me know.
There is never a situation in school where violence is necessary. I will talk to her and deal with her accordingly.
I left and signalled for Demi to follow me. I couldnt look at her. I knew if I did I would blow up and I needed to calm down before saying anything. We drove home in silences. When we got back I felt like I had calmed enough to talk.
Go sit in the living room so we can talk.
She responded without a word. I went and sat next to her.
Come on then what happened?
Demi- Cant you just punish me and leave it at that?
No Demi. I want to know what happened first because this is not like you at all.
She started to cry and I pulled her into my arms.
Please Demi tell me whats wrong.
Emily- Well, the other girl, Jodie, if Mitchels girlfriend. I herd her talking about him saying she was using him to buy her things and how she was seeing this other guy as well. I couldnt take it so I confronted her about it and she threatened me. I shouted to Mitchel and she tried to stop me. She pulled me around and slapped me in the face. Before I knew it we where fighting. When we where pulled apart I tried to tell Mitchel butbut he took her side.
She started crying again. I could tell there was more.
Why didnt Selena do anything?
Demi- She said to leave him but he is only her brother where as he should be more to me
She stopped as she realised what she was saying.
I thought so. Look I will talk to Mitchel when he gets back
Demi- Not about me liking him!!
If you dont want me to I wont. Now we have some business to attend to. You know that no matter what you shouldnt hit someone. I know you where doing it for all the right reasons but you know you did wrong.
Demi- I know Im sorry.
Well since it seams you have leant your lesson I wont spank you, this time, but you are grounded till you start back at school, ok?
She hugged me.
Demi- Thank you!
