Bill Haslam on self defense in public places

Knoxville City Mayor Bill Haslam takes the path of least resistance and attempts to please everyone. End result is failure as Mayor Haslam only pleases progressive liberals and outrages conservatives.

The unknown question is whether a misdemeanor charge on carrying a firearm in a public place will result in loss of the carry permit. This is the absence of leadership. Mayor Haslam was a member of the Bloomberg Mayors Against Guns group. Haslam only dropped out of the group when he announced his run to be the next Governor of Tennessee.

Either you support the right to self defense or you don't.

It is my right to keep and bare arms against those that would hurt me or my family. This is the only real way to fix the problem. Criminals don't care about the laws so if they want to rob someone at gun point all they have to do is go to a park. Duh!

Bill Haslam is running for governor. He also doesn't historically support the 2nd amendment. He was a member of Mayor Bloomberg's "Mayors Against Illegal Guns". He will tell you that this group was going in a different direction than he believed. What he means to say is that he couldn't be a conservative candidate for Governor in TN and be associated with an anti-gun group. Now, all of a sudden he's also a member of the NRA. And, he's only been a member for maybe 3 months according to sources.

All of this waste of time and money about guns in parks. They are already there by the thugs and criminals. Find a park with an 1980's cutlass with 40 in rims, do a pat down and I bet you will find your guns. I'm going to defend myself regardless.
