In many cases, students don't turn in their homework, because they misplace. And sometimes teacher lose the students homework. I know of some cases. I think it important to find out the facts before decided who is wrong.

This happened to my son and many kids in one teacher's class. The SPED teacher had to make copies of the kids' homework under her care and keep them to prove to the nut-job regular ed teacher that the kids actually DID their homework! The regular ed teacher was notoriously disorganized and not successful as a teacher and was unfortunately just passed from school to school within the large district until her retirement many years later. So much for unions working to make SCHOOLS better!

This happened to my daughter as a freshman in high school - the biology teacher really was misplacing the homework. We had to make copies of the homework before she turned it in just to have back up! I was made to feel just as intimidated as this mom - and the teacher insinuated that my daughter was lying. When the teacher found the homework, she just let us know matter of factly - no apology.
