From experience, I know that Sephiroth links off of Fire/Blizzard very reliably into assist chase > stun > aero. I see you attempting that a few times with Exdeath, but his aerial assist just seems too slow for that purpose (although it works off of Retribution quite well). What are your thoughts on Sephiroth assist for Shantotto?

@Parallaxal I've been able to make it work with him before this fight, I'm just not too sure why he can't hold Gabranth during fire. Ending it with Aero works fine though.

I don't really like using Sephiroth as an assist because I want to be able to confirm that Retribution landed instead of being surprised and wasting an assist if the opponent happens to be too low and Retribution whiffs.

Though, I dropped Exdeath and started using Yuna as an assist.

@Randomdissidiavids Yeah, I can see how that can be a problem. Personally, I think of it not as comboing Sephiroth off of Retribution, but off of Stun instead. Retribution is there just to add extra damage; Stun > Sephiroth assist should be doable already.

In my experience, a Sephiroth assist can work with Stun > Retribution as well. You have to call him immediately after inputting the command for Retribution (following Stun). His assist attack will hold the enemy in place while Retribution does both hits, then you can assist chase for Stun > Aero.
