A little bit of hymn, boogie woogie, God Save the Queen, Tea for Two and Rule Britannia arranged in Harlem stride piano (or hot piano) style. Any political connotations are purely coincidental.
The theme is, of course, "The Call of South Africa".
Influences: Fats Waller, Art Tatum and other stride pianists. You can probably hear quotes from the great cocktail pianists.
Piano: Kawai KG-1 grand from early 70's
Recorded at home in Metsokangas, Oulu, North Finland, December 2010 with Zoom R24
---
Pieni sikermä stride piano -tyylillä. Sisältää pätkän virttä, boogieta, kansallislauluja ja jazz-standardin. Kappalevalinnat eivät sisällä poliittista kannanottoa.
Tallennettu kotona joulukuussa 2010, Metsokangas, Oulu. Flyygeli on Kawai KG-1 70-luvulta. Iästään huolimatta soiva peli.
Hyvä J:)
