that is by far the best paper mache i have ever seen! i might try this myself, do you think i can use balloons as a base?

Why thank you for the kind words! Yes you should try this medium. It's a great way to do art. For what it's worth, I have some slower instructional videos on my blog, PapierMacheMan (dot com). So far I only have an introduction and a couple of lessons, but will add more over time.

Hey again,
It's actually acrylic latex. It's what they would call general purpose paint. You can get it in quarts in almost primary colors at Home Depot. Just make sure it's water based.
I'm glad you like the fish.
