"Temple of Solace" This oriental dance piece unravels the transient emotions of seeking solace, peace and serenity and joyfulness. Belly dance fusion with silk veils. Perform by Rosalina Pang, Oriental bellydancer and intructor, at "Le Cirque Noir", a production by Hipnotix Dance Company, New Zealand "A Bellydance and Fusion Experience" September 2009. Music: "Haiku" by Solace. (Haiku is a form of traditional Japanese poetry is based on a Zen Buddhist philosophy of brevity and simplicity.)

  • Wow, that's beautiful choreography! Thank you for posting this video. I've just bought some silk fans, and I'm looking forward to exploring this style of dance. Seems I'm not the only one heading east with my bellydance.

    Thanks for the nice comment. Glad you enjoyed it and yes, fans can be danced and expressed in any style. Take its as an extension of a dancers' expression. Fans and ribbons are very oriental, so this silk fans are a fusion and evolution of both of them. :) Enjoy them
