Lived and biked in Center City Philadelphia for 11 years (1989-1999) I have traveled and biked in many cities and I think Philly is right up there in bike accessible cities. Streets are mostly flat, grid pattern and most roads have small number of lanes which reduces chaos. The new Pine and Spruce bike lanes are groundbreaking , I wish they were there when I lived in the city. Please call the city/mayor and tell them how great they are.

oh what i would give for a bike lane like that in san francisco.  the street sare soo bumpy.full of cracks and potholes

seriously right? I live on the east coast and theres just no such luxury. If there were I'd just bike everywhere I go.
