@sonic619760 Maybe it is just the New York cops. But I doubt it. What you find out once you're actually on the force is quite different from what you observe when watching COPS and other police shows on TV, or what you experience in a ride-along. If you wanna become a cop first watch the movie SERPICO. It's a true story of an officer named Frank Serpico who was the only completely honest cop in the whole city. He was eventually shot during a drug bust and left to die by his fellow officers.

@Chicolopez437 I wanted to be a cop too, and I became one in New York City. Then realized what a bunch of assholes they all are and how corrupt everything is. Now I ain't a cop anymore, and I'm thankful about that.

well he seems strict for a campus officer.. i got pulled over by a state cop on a road up here going 24 over.. he let me go

@halloweendude66 Dude, he's still a legit police officer, he's just doing the college areas, it's a cycle usually for about 2 years. Motorcycle police and school resource officers work the same way, 2 years, then back to regular city police duties

being a police officer is a great career, the pension is wonderful when you retire, my grandpa was in NYPD
