@112Katy Well i guess it just depends what the artist's have labelled it as. I mean, Dave Grohl wrote it, so there's no denying that. But since it has been released on Pocketwatch, with the lights out, and apparently now a Foo fighters record, it now makes it a Dave Grohl/Nirvana/foo fighters song.

This Version of Marigold is not a Nirvana song it was from his solo project called Late! on the album Pocketwatch. And it's very similar to this one.

@KurdtKobain09 It is NOT originally a Nirvana song Dave Grohl wrote it himself. It was originally called Color Pictures of a Marigold on his other project called Late! on the album Pocketwatch.

sick violin solo

@jacquiii154 It is a Nirvana song. What you mean to say is the fact of it being on a Nirvana album does not make it a song Kurt wrote.
-
@romiicc87 But I didn't say it was his favorite way to play?
-
@MrAppleNator Not his favourite way to play, but he said that after the acoustic gig he got pretty used to it :)

@rico6969cool Nirvana is amazing, but I think it's safe to say that Marigold is Dave's song.

it's dave grohl's song. kurt overheard him working on it one day and he ask to put it on the in utero album. the original title of it was six color pictures of a marigold, then shortened to marigold for the album. so yes, it's dave grohl's song and he wrote it himself. just because it was on nirvana's album doesn't make it a nirvana song... yet again, it's dave's, it just so happen to be put on the b-sides of the album
