Life may be the software that makes its own hardware, but where is the compiler? If we plan to start programming life itself, we are going to need a radically different and better tool kit than the one available to geneticists today. Omri lays out a concrete vision for how such a tool would work and for how it would be used to create the bio-products our future needs so badly.

Sorry but you fail to provide logical arguments. You say that when you look at the design principles of living things, you see that they were not designed to be modified by others.That is your opinion, and you don't provide any arguments as to WHY others should see and believe like you. I can behave like you and say: "When I look at DNA and the blueprints of life, I see a clear invitation to modify it, to see what happens". And I think you should do the same just because I see it that way.
