Riding the Switzerland Trail near Gold Hill, Colorado. The Switzerland Trail follows an old railroad bed that was built over 100 years ago and used primarily for transportation of supplies to mining camps that were abudndant in this area.
Nothing remains of the railroad but there are remnants of old mining operations and cabins along the trail that you can explore. There is amazing scenery of the Continental Divide along the 12.5 mile long route.
