Even if it took G-d 6 days to complete the universe, God should of been able to finish creating everything in much less time than 6 days imho! - I mean, he's 'G-d' for god's sake (no pun intended)!!

on the fourth day, the universe was created, so it is clear what is meant. day and night here on earth. the universe is in the mids of the earth, and was created after the earth was formed.

that´s a kind of a gap theory. gerry shroeder makes a gap between the understanding of god and human. but the bible was written for humans, so we should trust in it. a day is the periode between morning and morning. if the sun revolved slower around the earth during the first 6 days, the periodes could took longer. The first day began with the seperation from light and darkness on earth(genesis 1:4/5). if there is no periode of day and night, you can´t call it day.
