@dancheb I can agree with you that Netrebko sometimes isn't my favorite singer but I have also been totally spellbound. I just can't agree with you saying Netrebko has a small voice. That is just ridiculous. I have heard her sing MiMi, Antonia, Norina, Juliette, Gilda, and Lucia at the Met. Not once would I have said her voice was too small for the house and the Met is a huge opera house. Her voice will eventually be able to sing Butterfly and Tosa in my opinion

I find her voice completely pedestrian, dull, unexciting and rather small. You can barely hear her sometimes behind the orchestra.

This is the same impression as I've heard her live in SF opera (dont' remember which opera), when her star was just rising.

But she is beautiful and that I guess that eclipses all the vocal insuffiencies and puts her on the forefront of today's opera trends where the looks go first.

she sang the letter scene wonderful with a real Russian soul. It really moved me.

Her rich coloured mature voice thrills all the performance and make me feel like being in love with Tatyana.The pictures wich follow have nothing to do with the scene of letter.Anyway thanks for uploading.
