Americans are increasingly objecting to the TSA's use of full-body scanners in airports. But as John Whitehead argues in this week's vodcast, these scanners shouldn't be forced on the American public without the absolute assurance that they will not harm our health or undermine our liberties.

PLEASE RADIATE ME AND KEEP ME SAFE!

What a bunch of dumb fks!

  • The government has no right to do profiling. But a private company certainly has. I would never give a subprime mortgage to someone I profile as unreliable to repay it.

  • Can I asked to be search by the opposite sex?

  • Call airlines and airports and let them know that you will not fly until the choice of radiation or molestation is changed.

  • I read this idea and it sounds good, we need capsules that will just detonate any explosive on a person. this will end this problem once and for all, plus cut down on mad bombers, expensive prosecutions and paying for prison time.Airlines will make money on paid for seats that get opened up by the self destructing smugglers.Money can be made from the video's of the capsules poping red. step into the capsule and POP

  • but, but, the whores of youtube are thinking that the TSA is out to get just them!

  • I don't like this mode of fighting the issue...

I think we can all agree that MOST people that take issue with this, just don't want naked pictures taken of them or their wife/children/girlfriend/grandma what have you.

The radiation thing is kind of an afterthought.

I think we should just be strait forward about that.

When they pull the whole "It's necessary for your security"

Rebuke with "Use explosive sniffing devices + metal detectors instead".

I haven't heard one argument refuting that plan.

  • The airlines seem to be doing absolutely nothing to prevent terrorists from buying their tickets, trying to sell them the more the better, the faster the better. The airlines should certainly take some responsibility for our safety, perhaps by screening the people to whom they sell tickets. But then profiling would be inevitable, and so be it.

  • You're right!
