Sole 4-14-08 Part 1

Upstairs, after Langston finds an abortion pamphlet with Starr, Starr reminds her that she's sixteen -- and she doesn't know what to do! No matter how much Langston tries to be there for Starr, Starr knows her father can never find out about her pregnancy then begs Langston to help her. As Langston reads the pamphlet, she tries to talk Starr out of having an abortion, but Starr doesn't feel as though there's another choice. When Starr begins having more cravings, Langston leads her downstairs to get a snack...

From out in the foyer, Starr and Langston overhear Todd and Cole -- and worry for Cole's safety! Listening on, Starr and Langston hear Todd threatened Cole with prison, for shooting Miles, then listen as Cole accuses Todd of doing this to him because of what he did to Marty! "I would never do to Starr what you did to my mom!" Todd takes two steps closer to Cole, grabs him and screams in his ear that if Cole goes near his daughter, wife or family, he'll kill him! Although Cole starts to walk away, he turns to say something, which causes Todd to grab him and demand that he not say another word! After fleeing back upstairs, Starr says to Langston, "Now can you see why I have to do this?" Finally, Langston promises to help Starr.
