WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) -- Police and community leaders on the West Side break ground on the new District 3 headquarters for Cincinnati police. When the new headquarters is complete in the spring of 2015, it will become Cincinnati's first new police station in decades. The new location will be on Ferguson Road near Glenway in Westwood. Police say this will help them better serve the 14 neighborhoods that fall into District 3's jurisdiction. The new facility will be more than twice the size of the building currently located on Warsaw Avenue in East Price Hill. That location has been operating since 1930. The new headquarters will include a public plaza. Future plans include a neighborhood bike trail near the area.
