SOLD! 2004 Honda 300EX trx SporTrax, had a Yoshimura slip-on exhaust removed spark arrestor, stage-3 jetkit from jetrus.com, k&n air filter, had street/strip tires on factory aluminum wheels, had ITP SS aluminum special edition wheels with ITP Holeshot tires, painted the bumpers flat black, moved headlight from handlebars to front bumper, moved controls to under front left fender out of sight, had an electric train horn at one time, tilted the handlebars back a few degree's for better control on wheelies, took off parking brake lock and put a bike brake lever for wheelie control, lowered by straps on front and rear when drag raced but not when off roading. great all-around quad!
TIPS= don't read 'em if you don't want to or if your a hater
a couple good tips for my fellow 300er's;
(1.) WHEELIE BRAKING= I took my parking-brake lock off and replaced it with a regular bicycle brake lever/handle, that way when I went a lil bit too far back on a wheelie I just pulled it and it popped me forward!
(2.) HANDLEBARS= I tilted my handlebars back by loosening the clamps holding them because to me it felt more comfortable to hold on to when I was doing wheelies, and it gave me more throttle and brake control.
(3.) SHIFTING! is definitely one of the easiest things to say, but hardest to learn, shifting when wheelying is hard at first but eventually becomes instinct after awhile. just get the front up, ride it out, and when you would usually shift, hit the gas a tad then let off quick, whenever you let off it momentarily takes the tension off the trans. and lets you shift quicker and easier! just practice it'll come to you.
(4.) DON'T SHOW OFF! seriously, unless your good, don't do it, i did and BAM! crash, dragged, roadrash! lol
(5.) GAS theirs 2 things you need to kno about gas when weelyin, 1= it leaks, it comes out of the carb from an overflow tube, you can zip-tie the tube in a higher location to stop the overflow, i did that. 2= try not to wheelie with a full tank, it just adds unwanted/unneeded weight to the front
(6.) HAVE FUN when you expect to get good in a day you get mad and frustrated then you lose the whole idea of quadding, having fun! just take it slow and have fun with it.
after the sale= I really miss my 300! i kinda wished i never sold it but then i wouldnt have the stuff for my vette that i do, all i really gotta say is that I really regret selling my 300, it never let me down and it was always fun, not too slow, not too fast, not too hard, not too soft, not too ugly, not too pretty, I think you should only sell your quad if you need to, especially if it's your pride and joy/baby. definitely wished i kept it, then I'd still be waking up old ppl and running from the law!
All you fags shut the fuck up about how your daddy's quad will smoke his.. fucking haters..
