Filming high up on the Himalayas was one of the most difficult and treacherous filming first for Human Planet. The production crew followed the journey of a father, who takes his 2 children on what has to be the most dangerous walk to school in the world.
In the freezing weather, the normal route outside their remote village became impossible. To get to school, they must make a 100 km trek, navigating along a frozen river that could melt ay anytime.
Its amazing that schools even exist in such places. Gotta celebrate the human spirit that people are willing to work so hard and live in these places but nature's unreal beauty perhaps make it all the worth while.
