This is Parker a 1yr African Grey. Everyone at our house has to know how to get out of the pool and swim including the bird.

  • Aren't you guys over reacting just a teensy bit? It's obvious that the owner of this bird has a good eye on him and won't let him drown. You need to grow up and get a life.

  • @themadhatterxxx Did you see her dumping chlorine in the pool? No? Then why assume it's in the water? There's many other ways a person can clean a pool.

  • @lingeriedolce Saltwater pools are quiet common and are different than chlorinated pools. The important distinction between a chlorinated pool & a saltwater pool is that pools that use saltwater chlorination most generally lack chloramines. Chloramines are the irritants which give traditional pools the stigma of burning eyes and the caustic smell, in addition to irritating parrot nasal passages causing respitory distress for them.

  • This is quite a surprise because my Grey HATES water, even a spritz from a mister. She doesn't try to bathe in her water dish either. My cockatiel, OTOH, LOVES water and pursues it wherever she can. It's very unusual to see a Grey that loves the water as much as this one does. Maybe this bird has a cockatoo's brain. :-)

  • Whatever, the bird is obviously in good hands and is happy. I had a conure and it liked to swim in pools too. I agree with LimitNine, As soon as my conure was out of the pool I would rinse her off with tap water and she was fine. So, yes I've done my research and as for being lost, I found myself a long, LONG time ago.

  • @LimitNine sure fucking idiot

  • @NessaKathy Parrots cannot be in chlorine, period. You are clearly in experienced and lost... Study, do research and then voice your opinion, its people like you that cause others to make mistakes with there delicate parrots and it leads to abuse and fatality.

  • @lingeriedolce Parrots are fine as long as you give them a thorough rinse. No where in this video did the bird seem uncomfortable or distressed. Not only that but the owner was clearly keeping a close eye on it

  • excellent!

  • chlorine is bad for birds this is more like animal cruelty, fuck these people.
