Brian Wilson - Ottawa Bluesfest July 9 2008 - Southern California [CLIP]

Brian Wilson performing a song off his new album as the last song of this show!! I forgot to bring spare batteries (brought everything else tho) so all i did was take a few pictures and this 1:00min video! I don't know the songs name but i know its off his new album coming out on September 2nd, 2008!!

hey,

well i find it was a good show!! pretty dam amazing to finally see Brian Wilson in concert!! The only problem i'd say was that the PA system turned off twice, during catch a wave and a new song later on, and the subs were alittle on the loud side, and the vocals wern't loud enough thru the PA!! but, thats what you expect from an outdoor show!!!

I think 08 was the best year by far in recent memory. Hey does anyone remember what Brian announced as the "best song he ever wrote" at Bluesfest 08? I thought it was this or perhaps In My Room...

and staying seated the whole time. By the end of the night he perked up a bit and his singing was stronger. Great to hear classics like Sloop John B, I Get Around, Good Vibrations, God Only Knows etc. by their creator, and great that he's still able to do it after all his trials and tribulations, even if in a somewhat restrained way.

It was pretty sad that the PA cut out once, let alone twice. The first time no one even told the band (you can't tell on stage with all the monitors and amps going) and they played the last half of one song and the first half of the next with no PA at all. Then when it died a 2nd time (as they started I Get Around) someone from the crew jumped on stage and told them to stop). Brian seemed pretty dazed especially at the beginning, staring at set lists or cue sheets on the floor a lot of the time.
