@artiebarnes that was not correct. He was not an anti-semite or a bigot. Black Separatism grew out of the need to counter white supremacy. Clearly, you did not understand his autobiography. Being pro-black is not racist; it's Black Nationalism. Yes he did have a troubled childhood and youth, but he changed. I think someone here has a bias.

I think its interesting to note that Malcolm X, after leaving the NOL, gravitated more towards Dr king's approach to race relations, and Dr king was gravitating more towards X's approach, becuase they both felt the need for, and overall, similar end by which their means for dictate, but both to some degree, felt that the ends were slow going. Malcolm did not hate whites, but he was critical becuase the times dictated he be. He wanted whites and blacks to be eqaul once he realized the message.

@Nyobe1 Don't be absurd. I just did a lot of reading about Malcolm. He was no angel. He promoted black and white separation, was an anti semite, PRO black man (PRO meaning black man was BETTER than the white man). Don't rewrite history. Plus he went to prison for a crime. I've never been to prison for a crime, because I don't COMMIT bad crimes. Do you?
