  • The problem is we have extradition treaties.......I will support the bill anyways.

  • @Mahoivlich It is not a criminal offense in Canada to be AWOL from the U.S. military. Deportation is a Canadian political act by our own government, and not an extradition. But you are correct in general that the Harper Administration is far more concerned with U.S. policy than Canadian policy on foreign affairs and in terms of punishing soldiers who agreed with Canada that the war in Iraq is illegal and immoral.
