He knocks off high C's like it is no effort at all. Amazing singer.

Bruce Ford at his best! I never heard this extrem difficult aria from another singer, but I can't imagine that it could be sung better. Grandiose!
-
and also because his recorded material is all obscure or rare works....which also doesn't generate much internet buzz, or recording company pull.
-
Because is about more than singing...fortunatley or unfortunately.

He's famous in Italy! He has sung in Rossini Opera Festival of Pesaro many times! In 1996 he had to sing the Corradino's part in Matilde di Shabran there, but couldn't do it: he was sobstituted by a young tenor at his first important piece... Juan Diego Florez! :) However they have two different voice: Ford's one is darker than Florez's... bye!

Holy cow! He can sing circles around Juan Diego Florez!! Why isn't HE famous instead??

Great clip, thanks for posting it. Bruce Ford is amazing. And the production is a huge laugh.

He is amazing... also in Mitridate Covent Garden. when someone would like to share the mitridate it would totally make my year!
I just love Bruce Ford! What more can you possibly want from a Rossini tenor? Although the production seems a bit... no, I can't find the right words. Do you have any other parts of it? Who was playing Riccardo?
