Preview Laksamana Cheng Ho

This is a trailer video of an ongoing film project. A film about admiral Cheng Ho (Zheng He), starring Yusril Ihza Mahendra, an ex Indonesia's Minister of Nation Secretary.

EDIT: This series is currently being aired by MetroTV (every Saturday night).

For those who don't know who Cheng Ho is, he's the leader of Chinese emissary for South East Asia nations. There's a rather weird fact about him. He's a MOSLEM, but some confucians actually worship him as one of their GODS! Even confusians in Indonesia hold annual festival for him.

There was no such place (although there was a fraudster named Cheng Poh who defrauded his fellow citizens into investing into a business that hadn't quite worked out).

One or two days later, I decided that it could be 'Cheng Ho('s) FACE', and decided to look it over the Internet too, stumbling upon this page.

It was after I had scouted, quite intently, for a bowl of laksa, and now, I know to say or think ‘Laksamana’ next time.

I want to tell this strange story.

One night, I dreamt of a tiger caged and roaring. Someone dumped the cage and tiger at a faraway place, that I didn't know, and I didn't know whether to try to free the tiger, or see where it ended up. Someone began shouting 'Cheng Poh Place', 'Cheng Poh Place', and that was when I woke up. I immediately looked over the Internet 'Cheng Poh Place'... only to be very disappointed.

Zheng He (Hajji Mahmud Shams) (13711433), was a Hui(muslim) Chinese mariner, explorer, diplomat and fleet admiral, who made the voyages collectively referred to as the travels of "Eunuch Sanbao to the Western Ocean" (Chinese: 三保太監下西洋) or "Zheng He to the Western Ocean", from 1405 to 1433
