The Great Organ is incredible, and the artists that have played this instrument and extremely gifted and talented. What a joy it is to listen to so many that have played this magnificant organ

I really believe the "new" instrument will maintain and enhance the qualities of the present organ. It's well worth waiting and seeing....or more importantly, hearing! Lovely recording though!

Not sure on that. Only a handful of the Skinner organ's original pipe work will be carried through into the new instrument from what I've heard. What will happen is the cases of the original organ will be reused in a new instrument located closer to the transepts. meanwhile a new french style organ will be built and installed in the rear gallery of the church just under the Great Rose Window.

Well it's comforting to know that the organ project has been put on hold until further notice! Let's hope it stays that while for a long time so more recordings can be made of this great organ!

How did you come into possession of this recording? Great that you did, considering it will be some of the last made on this great instrument.

This is an exceptionally beautiful recording at my favorite cathedral. I wish that I could play one piece after services one Sunday. I tried once but Erik Suter had locked up the console before I could get there.
