Awesome! My friend and I raced ours at a mall at one of their races. His Dad cut the chassis of two record breakers in half and glued the ends with the motors together. So they had a 4 engine record breaker. They raced it on the straight away drag strip they had at the mall and it was insanely fast. The record breakers employees were blown away so they gave him a free track.
Hey Guys - I just posted a vid of the old TV show. It should show up here in the"Video Responses", but if not just search for 'Record Breakers Toy Cars TV Show'.
These are one of my favorite toys as a kid. Such a cool concept and they used to have a show on Saturday mornings that gave you tips on how to race you record breaker. I remember some kid saying that you could use a pencil eraser and use it on the battery contacts for better performance. Tamiya produces cars like this too.
I still have one of my many... I raced mine at a mall once, but mine kept flying off the track so I lost most of the races all the other cars the owners ran then outside and got debris in the motors so they were slow enough to stay on the track... mine only won two of the races and it was because the tire fell off and slowed it down enough to keep it on the track, lol
i had these when i was lil
