@blackwingangel04 No shit moron. I know that but the guy to whom I origninally responded to said the reason why Pantera was not part of the big 4 was "Pantera wasn't as popular as the Big 4". I then told him that they were plenty popular and had better selling albums than most of the Big 4 so popularity wasn't the case. I am saying the same fucking thing as you. You would realize that if you had any sort of reading comprehension skills, retard.

@DTOMUSA74 Except that album sales isn't what's kept them off the Big 4. The big four is exclusive to Thrash metal. That's like being surprised that Michael Jackson wasn't in the Big 4.

I know damn well they are considered Groove Metal but they had more of a thrash sound than half of the albums Metallica and Anthrax had. My whole point originally was that Pantera had better selling albums than some of the thrash metal bands so that wasn't the reason for them not being part of the Big 4 as evanalanjones claimed. I wasn't even talking to you anyway so fuck off.

@DTOMUSA74 Hey, I like Pantera just fine. But they were never thrash. They had thrash elements, thanks to bands like Metallica inspiring them, but were not, themselves, thrash. They were *say it with me* Groove metal.

And the Big 4 were established long before Metallica fell into the Alternative genre.

You don't have to like it, but it is what it just is.

@blackwingangel04 They were more than enough to be thrash in my opinion. Domination, Suicide Note part 2, Rise, Fucking Hostile, etc. not thrashy enough for you? Pantera kicked the shit out of any of the big 4 live and did it with authority. All their albums were heavy and great. Compare that to Metallica, the so-called best thrash band ever. Half of Metallica's albums are not even close to thrash metal. They are hard rock at best. Pantera, STRONGER THAN ALL!!

@evanalanjones Pantera wasn't as popular? Metallica is the only band of the Big Four to have number one albums. So did Pantera with Far beyond driven. Metallica has 6 top ten albums, Megadeth has 5, Slayer has 2, and Anthrax only has one. Pantera have THREE top ten albums, more than Slayer or Anthrax so I'd say they were popular. I still say Pantera should have been in the big Four instead of Anthrax. Public Enemy? Seriously? Thats what metal is against and Anthrax played with them!
