  • The Cornishman this week says the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trustees have just closed the second medical ward at West Cornwall Hospital because of a sickness bug. People get sick and these people CLOSE the hospital.....crazy eh? I don't trust these 'money minded' people one inch. They say things, and people think 'oh, that's OK, our hospital is safe!', and then they do the very opposite of what they say. We're being made fools of! These trustees need to resign!

  • I am getting inundated with people getting back to me after watching the video saying we'd like to help the hospital......phew.....so many messages.....got to think how I am going to fit all this extra work into my schedule...yikes!!! Got to do it though.....our hospital is important, without it, we'll be lost!

  • Our MP Andrew George spoke strongly and he spoke about fair funding and unity. He said we're concerned about some of their decisions. He speaks about all that has been removed from the hospital, He said it is important that we stand together, shoulder to shoulder. He said Cornwall gets less than the target funding i.e. £56 million less, we're under funded this amount each year. he said the whole community must stand together united. He said: restore those services and upgrade the hospital!

The withdrawal of medical beds is ridiculous when apparently Treliske (Truro) is already apparently unable to cope with people who have been sent there. A local GP in Penzance says she has had medical patients refused admission due to bed shortage. . If Truro can't cope then it is over 100 miles to Plymouth. And much worse if you happen to live in Scilly. Though I haven't heard of any down grading there. Maybe its island status helps in that case. Joan Blackwood

STAND TOGETHER SHOULDER TO SHOULDER, WE WANT TO SEE SERVICES RESTORED TO THE HOSPITAL ;-)

    1. 'Trust' issues over leaked memo

    2. Crowds link hands to give hospital 'hug'

3.Hi-tech monitoring has almost halved risk of death in homes

4.Petition bid to see ward reopen

The idea of machines replacing human care scares me, and this is being piloted here in Cornwall. I listened to the guy selling this at a university conference I attended, and I swear he reminded me of my friend who is a sales manager...food for thought eh?

  • I found the editorial of the Cornishman very moving indeed. The photographs in this weeks issue convey the story and the Editor and rest of staff have done a good job. The former CEO of Hospital Trust is featured in photographs and may...hasn't he suffered for speaking the truth? Another was who was slandered and sacked! How many more will lose their jobs for speaking the truth? Makes you wonder eh?

Yes Jackie this has been in our prayers when you first brought it to our attention.

We will keep praying on behalf of all those who are on this righteous crusade.

Fear not and be persevering for our Lord is on the Throne!

  • Great video, well done.

Interesting that the government MP is calling for people not to be party political!

  • Thank you Sharon, this is an excellent video. You have worked really hard putting this together and I really appreciate your efforts. May this video travel far and wide :)
