Once upon a time there was a young boy that back in 2001, decided that he wanted to write music. The music was bad, but writing it (and recording it in Cakewalk Sonar) was fun nevertheless. This is the first of a series of four piano etudes that I wrote inspired by a functional harmony and musical aesthetics professor who taught me some invaluable lessons. He is now gone, and I hope he has fun listening to it, wherever he is. RIP, Leopoldo Touza.
