IEFD Ep. 22 - Playstation 2 Softmod - Part 2 of 3

In Episode 22, Nox and I show you how to softmod your old Playstation 2 to enable you to run third party software. We demonstrate how to use CogSwapLoader and HDLoader to allow you to backup your PS2 games and play them either from a burned DVD or off your hard drive. To play a burned PS2 game, it is necessary to open your CD Tray manually; we explain how to unlock your PS2's CD Tray without using a "Card Slide". Other software like emulators and media players are also available; however, they do not work nearly as well as the Xbox versions.

Requirements for the Softmod:

A Normal Playstation 2 (not Slim version)
A Playstation 1 Game
CodeBreaker (version 8 or higher) or Action Replay Max
USB Thumb Drive
PS2 Memory Card

yeah.. but u need any original CD... so when cogswap recognizes that it's a PS2 game it will tell u on the screen, then u use those swap tools and insert ANY burned backup cd and fun begins... :D

I didn't watch the whole video because I don't have a ps, but if i got it right you actually need a original cd to play the burnd one so what's the point?

Hi.

I have a problem about ps2 hack

I have PS2 fat , when I want to play burned games on PS2

n I can`t do it that.............

I was download McBoot on my PC but hav`not ARMAX , CodeBreaker , Gameshark etc

to run mcboot on ps2

I hope you have a tutorial about that with another program....
