  • One of my favourite lyrics of all time:

"Though I may not be a man of words...

    Yeah Yeah"

    Neil Innes is a genius

  • My aunt was lucky enough to see The Rutles at Che Stadium. She never recovered her hearing from the screaming fans. For some reason, she always liked to wear a beret and mumble incoherent Spanish since seeing that concert.

  • @kangaroocomedy i was there as well and can verify this story....dirk had told leggy that 'life was i big movie anyways and were all actors' as he put it and nasty said'right, lets go out and try some o that tea everyones been talkin bout' so while the actors played at che the real rutles were out looking to score some tea... we later met up at the hotel . but we didnt get paid ..they told us to sod off and act like we got paid..they settled for coffee..they coldnt score any tea.

  • Yeah, Neil Innes is really a genius!! Greetings from Mexico.

  • I'm sick of the young metal fans who make fun of the Rutles because they were poppy and didn't perform well in stadiums. Well duh! They didn't have good amps back then. You don't think all that time performing 12 hour shows at Krakow didn't make them a great band?

  • Can you hear us?!?

  • ITS THE BLOODY RUTTLES FOR CHRIST SAKE,,, FROM rUTLAND Still have the original vunyl. Ruttles ruttles, learn to spell, rant over , TM~~~~~~FW

  • Neil ROCKS!! Met hima few years ago! Awesome guy!!

  • innes should have his own star on the walk and a wing of the rock n roll museum and i dont know.. a bunch of stuff he never got

  • That isnt the real Dirk anyway. The real Dirk died in 1834 while attempting to break the land speed record by hopping only.

They didnt waste anytime in cloning him using only an eyelash.
