02 Yamaha Roadstar Warrior Ride by in HD

a little video i took of my buddy riding my 02 Yamaha Warrior. The bike has tons of aftermarket goodies. Has a Hobwerx VBAK, Samson Ripsaw exhaust, coil relocation kit, Barons AIS removal, Power Commander PCIII USB, Custom Dynotune map, Barons Lowering kit, braided lines, custom made right side skull cover, etc etc..

such a nice bike, but again ( I've stated in other vids ) the riding position on this bike just looks weird and uncomfortable. it puts you to high on the bike and an over exaggerated clam shell position. im up in the air between this and the kawi mean streak for my next bike. I like this bikes looks (without a rider) and power better but the MS is more comfortable and said to be a more versatile ride

you can improve your riding position with different bars and risers..

i plan on getting something with more pull back to give me a more comfy position. but im shorter than the rider that is shown on the bike in the video, with shorter arms, as well. im fairly comfortable for decent trip, 5 hours or so. but my back and neck will bother me a bit towards the end. my butt though, wow the most comfortable i have been on any bike, and its the stock seat!

well the stock risers and bars are ok, but they are more of beach bars and the pull back isnt very good. so just remember that bars are a quick easy change out that will make your riding position alot better. i really will say there isnt a better power cruiser for the money.. this thing makes tons of power and has a great sound. i love the air cooled big vtwin in this thing. i was never a cruiser guy till i rode this bike. youll be very impressed with it.

no problems at all with temps too 100..

i run mobil 1 full synthetic oil..

if your concerned though they make a aftermarket oil cooler

So it´s not just my Samson that does that fluttering noise. ^^

But i got rid of it. Took of the end caps and heat shield, made a stronger holder and wrapped the exhaust in Thermotec.

@nyinfamous2k2 I'm in Charlotte, NC and never had a problem at all...I've sat in traffic with buddies in the dead of summer and their bikes literally cut-off from being so hot and mine never missed a beat. And they do sell oil-coolers for the warrior for cheap....

@hoblick any problems being it is a air cooled engine? I dont know where you live but here in NY it gets over 100 in the summer and sitting in traffic with a air cooled bike might be a problem, have you had any issues or is it cooler in your area.

@hoblick ha funny you said that about the seat because the biggest complaint ive heard about this bike was how bad the seat was lol. I hear alot of back pain complaints also, but your right different bars can fix that. im 6'1 so im on the taller side so I dont know how I will fit on this bike. Im actually headed to a yamaha dealer after work, going to sit on one for myself as well as a MS and take it from there. thanks for posting this vid.
