likewise, I missed CYO football practice and watched the two-hour finale with my cousin and neighbor, along with the rest of the world. Our coach and some of the team came over and watched the second part.

I remember it was late summer! I always thought this was the first tv series to have an ending! I was vistiting cousins in vacaville and we stopped everthing we were doing to watch the ending..color at that!

Don't talk bollocks, I just finished watching Season 1 and he smiled lots of times...get a fucking life!

If I'd have been Kimble, Gerard would have got a swift kick in the nuts, not a hand shake.

Great series. The final episode was a hoot. Lt. Girard gets wounded and they have to get the killer. The Army sharpshooter gives medical attention to the Lt. and the Doctor takes the gun and goes after the killer. How could you not love the 60's.

Visiting the grave would have been a nice touch. This was originally shown as a two-hour finale "movie"... on a tuesday night if I remember correctly... everyone in my family gathered to watch it. 1968 I think. Wonderful show. We should all insist that they bring back TV of this quality. Stop watching reality shows.

That was a great ending to a classic TV show, but they should have added one more scene. They should have had Dr. Kimble visit his wife's grave because he spent all that time running from the law and he probably didn't have enough time to mourn his wife's death.

It was a great series.....the final episode was good...sadly it meant the end of a top show

@MisterMasterShafter1 I totally agree with your description of David Janssen's portrayal of the fugitive Dr. Kimble. The doctor always seemed to be a genuinely kind and decent man. It would be in Dr. Kimble's personality to accept Lt. Gerard's handshake, but I would'nt, I would turn and walk away, even though I would want to beat him into the ground. Gerard had a job to do, but he neglected his job every time he had the hint of a lead to follow his vindictive obsession of capturing Dr. Kimble.

Almost anything David Janssen touched turned to gold. He would have been 80 this year.
