Cat beats up husky

Why in the world would you ever shave a husky? Double-coated breeds should never be shaved as the guard hair reflects UV rays, protecting the dog from getting sun burnt, overheating, and heat exhaustion. Now all that natural protection is gone.
Poor dog. Even the cat thinks he looks ridiculous.

A husky isnt a poodle! You doesnt shave them! If you doesnt like the hair, don't buy a siberian husky! Damn, I can get so mad about this.

i just shaved my husky as well, mine is 3 years old, he gets skin disease on his back every summer cause weather is too hot here, so we just shaved him.

how old is your husky?
does it grow back in two months?
what if i only shaved him to 12 mm which leave the under layer on. will it turn grey?
or do i have to shave him all the way?
My husky is going on 3 years old next month. His hair takes about 3 months to grow fully back. His coat doesn't change colors because he gets shaved. I have had him shaved 5 times over the years and he is still just fine.

My dog is perfectly fine. It's summer-time in Las Vegas and temperatures reach well over 100*. During this time he rarely spends much time outside. His hair will be back to a suitable length in the next two months while the weather changes. Other than looking funny he is fine and very happy. Thank you for your input.
