It's been my experience that the best way to learn about a neighborhood is to walk or drive around it with a Realtor who lives there and knows it well.
Linda Martin of Coldwell Banker's Winnetka North office has lived in East Winnetka for more than 20 years.
This is one of a series of videos in which Linda drives me around her neighborhood, and we talk about a variety of topics. In this episode we focus on how someone can gain a toehold in the affluent Winnetka market.
This is so funny! It uses the exact phrase my husband did at the Tuesday meeting (re: "toehold") and uses the example of a "young attorney" (which the Patch quoted him as being....he's not, he's 42 and in finance). Was this really done 3 years ago?
So what I take away from this is that young families should just move to NF? Plus she actually says, there used to be affordable housing, but that doesn't happen anymore." and "there are very few 2 BRs, but they are all bought for teardown."
