  • WHY with ONE finger???? WHY you play so shy???

  • @retromotown: I am just playing with one finger in this example to make it easier for viewers to see which fret I am playing.

  • I have a bass guitar at home and play it occasionally for shits and giggles, and i was wondering why you played the D on the A string instead of just hitting the open D. Isn't it easier, since you can just keep your hand in one place on the guitar?

  • I just preferred the sound of the fretted D over the open D in this particular bass line.

  • Hey, Im 15 and have spent like 3 years saving up to buy my first bass problem is I cant afford lessons yet I have found your lessons really useful coz your the only person who goes step by step I was wondering whether you could please do some more lessons maybe teaching some notes or more simple bass lines to get people started and i know plenty of people who would benfit from it aswell as myself. Thanks for the lessons you have already done and i hope to see more of you.

  • man, that's the best video lesson that i have seen on youtube, you explain step by step... thanks!! =) non-komplikated and kool bass line

  • is that weezer beverly hills?

  • @BrevGraff: Well I suppose you could look at it as a G-sus arpeggio. However the bass line actually implies chord changes, as opposed to outlining one single chord (like an arpeggio.) The chord changes are G-C-D-C, also known as a 1-4-5-4 progression.

  • sounds like story of my life by social distortion

  • thats a rly cool video...im gonna learn bass all by myself :D this video will help me a lot...ok my fraind plays guitar so he can help me out a bit but anyway nice video !!!!!

  • OMG that cool

  • i have came up with an idea which i think its cool,,,,if we make it triplets " 6 times each note" for this same line it would sound like a punk rock line,,,,,,try out its cool.

  • cool
