Display Recorder for IPhone: A MacsFuture Look and Review

This is a jailbreak app by Ryan Petrich that just came out that allows screen recording of a jail broken IPhone. This is a review and look by MacsFuture. The app goes for about $5 in the Cydia store.

how do you add audio or songs while recording some plzzzz help

@Sn1P3SX Alas, you can't do it in display recorder. But what you can do is set the video format for the screen recording to H.264 in the settings of your iOS device under Display Recording. Then, after you screen record, go in Display Recording and save it in the photos app. From there, you can import it into another app, like iMovie, where you can add narration or music from iTunes. Otherwise, transfer to a computer and add music or sound there.

I have selected Landscape Left setting but when I upload the video to YT, it's portrait, why?

@GamerFlux don't know. Can't test it myself now as I am running the IOS 5 Beta on my iPhone so it is not jailbroken and does not have display recorder on it. As soon as people figure out how to jailbreak the iOS 5 I will have display recorder back on. Try tweeting the developer, Rynan Petrich. He is very responsive usually.

When ever I record in MJPEG/AVI video format the display recorder records video but it cant be played in a video player program. Now the strange thing is when i choose H.264/MOV format the display recorder cannot record and i get an error code 0, but i am able to watch the video in the video player program although its only a 1 second video of black, any fix for this (error code 0) and how to upload my videos to my computer cause i usually cant find them in the display recorder app itself, Reply

@RIFTER891 I don't have display recorder on my iPhone right now as I have the iOS 5 beta and can't and DR is not compatible yet. I am not sure what your error code is. If you recorded in H.264 the DR app should give you the option to save the recording to the camera/photo app. From there you can email the recording. DR gives you the option to transfer recording to a computer either through a wifi link on your computer's browser or through iTunes when docked to a computer.
