The family band Cherryholmes rips into "Tattoo of a Smudge" at the 2010 Lake Champlain Bluegrass Festival. This brand-new fiddle tune was penned by BJ and Molly Cherryholmes, who appear here on mandolin and fiddle. For more on the band and the tune, visit www.secondcousincurly.com.

  • that banjo player is mint!

  • @MistyMountaineers

The Grammy judges better clean their ear wax this time as this has been nominated in 2010. I don't understand how an extraordinary tune like Sumatra wasn't awarded last time!

  • somehow I wonder if this song will be a classic 50 yrs from now like Uncle Pen is now. Thank you Mr Monroe for real bluegrass.

  • Didn't like this album very much, but this was one of the two songs I did like.

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, Jere Cherryholmes on bass.
