Those that can do, those that can't criticise. It's a great start, and the people who matter realise you guys can't afford to pay a full symphony orchestra and engineer, or maybe to buy high end software which costs a shit load, unless you pirate it of course .Yeah the GM samples sound cheezy, but that's a small criricism, they are easily replaced if people understood what MIDI actually is??

@addison1977: Actually, its not General Midi, its Eastwest quantum leap symphonic orchestra Silver edition but bady mixed but thanks very much for the nice comment :-) At this time we just made a file with the orchestra, one for the guitars, one for the bass and the drums and just put them together in the mix without (!) adjusting the single tracks. no wonder the song sounds "cheap" :-)

So, I would like to respond to all the people who don't have a clue what "epic" in in a musical context means. "Epic" means a heroic atmosphere with heroic and majestic melodies. Examples for such melodies are the Braveheart or Gladiator themes. The modern use of "Epic" like in "Epic Fail" doesn't have to do ANYTHING with the musical use of "epic". And yes, this song is "epic" in that context.

This was actually my first real song from the beginning to the end. That song is like 3 years old. Please have a look on our other songs here like Selkirk Forrest.

And "orchestration" by the way means that you arrange music for an orchestra with its instruments. This is what we do but we only have an orchestra sample library...
